Job summary

Title: Shipper / Receiver Reports to: Manager, Procurement & Logistics Location: 18 Cabot Lane, Inverness, NS, B0E 1N0 Job Type: Full-time Seasonal Built by dreamers, for dreamers. As a Shipper / Receiver, you will be responsible for the flow of goods in and out of Cabot in an organized manner. This includes shipping, receiving, and recording the movement of parts, supplies, materials, equipment and stock. Core Accountabilities: -Perform general physical activities in order to load, unload, sort and move shipments by hand or using handling equipment -Examine shipment contents and compare records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders to verify the accuracy of shipment -Maintain accurate records for internal and external product movements through the computerized inventory management system -Ensure received goods are accurately input into the computer tracking system -Pack, seal, and label materials to prepare for shipping -Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of landing, and shipping orders to route materials -Complete daily shipping and receiving logs -Lead the inventory counts and reconciliation at month end in accordance with inventory procedures -Controlling inventory; receiving, cross referencing purchase orders, preparation and conducting monthly inventories, and resolving any variances or discrepancies -Receiving product, ensuring it matches PO’s, and cross referencing with Invoices -Maintaining all inventory in the YellowDog inventory management system -Lead the procurement of all furniture, fixtures and equipment for new build infrastructure (ie. Clubhouse, villas etc) -Correspond with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damages and shortages -File packing slips from suppliers and co-workers -Ensure shipping and receiving area is maintained in a clean and orderly fashion at all times -Ensure the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times -Perform local pickup and delivery tasks as necessary -Follow department policies, procedures and service standards -Follow all safety policies -Other duties as assigned by management Qualifications: -High school diploma -Valid drivers licence -Experience with information systems and inventory software an asset (Yellow Dog) -Communication skills (verbal / written) -Customer and service focus -Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities Physical Demands: -Constant standing and walking throughout shift -Occasional lifting and carrying up to 80+ lbs -Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting -Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
