Title: Espresso Barista Reports to: Lead Barista / Director, Food & Beverage Job Type: Full Time, Part Time (Seasonal – June thru October) Location: Inverness, Nova Scotia, B0E 1N0 Position Overview Cabot Cape Breton—home to Canada’s #1 and #2 golf courses—is launching a new specialty coffee concept in Inverness, Nova Scotia. We are seeking a team of professional, driven, eager Baristas at all levels of experience to join our team and develop a valuable in-demand skill within the Hospitality industry, while supporting a fun, new offering within the community. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and espresso-based beverages (e.g., lattes, cappuccinos, americanos) to company standards * Take customer orders accurately and process payments using POS systems * Provide friendly, prompt, and professional customer service * Maintain knowledge of menu items and make recommendations to customers * Create a welcoming and positive environment for guests * Handle customer questions, concerns, and complaints professionally * Build customer relationships and encourage repeat business * Operate coffee machines, grinders, and brewing equipment safely * Ensure proper food safety and hygiene standards are followed * Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and seating areas * Restock supplies such as cups, milk, syrups, and coffee beans Requirements of the role you should be aware of: * Based on the nature of our business and the service we provide to our guests, to work with us, you must consent to a criminal background check as a condition of employment and an additional criminal background check every two years. * As a seasonal resort business, you can anticipate a schedule that will involve day, evening, night, and weekend work. * Lifting, carrying and moving boxes, packages etc. of up to 50lbs Our Benefits * Access to learning & training opportunities to build your career. * $10 green fees * Complimentary Family Golf Round * Friends and Family Rates for Golf and Lodging * Discounts in our Retail Shops & Restaurants * Access to our Employee Assistance Program * Subsidized Team Housing, based on availability. * Healthcare benefits for permanent and returning seasonal team members.
