Please note that this is a contract position until Mid-December. There is a possibility of extension (depending on business needs and your performance). Your main responsibilities are: To provide general support in the analysis of samples, and to perform complex sample preparation; Perform analyses on samples and complex samples preparation; Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) to ensure accuracy and quality of work; Ensure that quality control criteria are met for all reported data; Understand and troubleshoot analyses; Provide input to corrective action procedures; Ensure deadlines are met and that the equipment is appropriately maintained; Use summary reports to plan and organize work; Any other related tasks. You are an ideal candidate if you: Have a bachelor in chemistry, microbiology or biology; Have experience in laboratory (strong asset); Have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment; Have good time-management, communication, multi-tasking and priority setting skills; Are dynamic, energetic, motivated and have a positive outlook. Work conditions: Work schedule: day AND evening, including weekend; You need to be available for overtime during the peak season (1-2h/day) from May to December including a 6th day during the week; Please note that flexibility for overtime is required to meet business needs. It's important to note that overtime is not optional in this role.
