Job Summary: Working from our Clients site location in Fort McMurray the Swamper position entails assisting a hydro vac operator preform jobs daily of a tri-drive hydro Vac unit. Mechanical skills will be an asset and physically fit to work in all kinds of weather. Preference will be given to candidates that possess previous hydro-vac experience in the industrial sector. Duties and Responsibilities: * Position entails assisting a hydro vac operator preform jobs daily * Perform physical labor tasks such as digging, lifting, and carrying materials * Must be physically able to perform tasks and work in all weather * Assist with the setup and cleanup of job sites * Follow instructions for tasks assigned by operator. * Complete daily housekeeping of assigned truck to ensure maintenance of company image * Attend daily tool box and safety meetings as scheduled and adhere to corporate and site safety regulations and procedures. Qualifications: * Possess a (minimum) valid Class 5 license with clean driver’s abstract * Previous (or related) experience operating hydro Vac units * Clear verbal and written communication skills * OSSA (or OSSA BSO/CSO) and CSTS certification * H2S Alive, Ground Disturbance, Confined space and fall protection certification * Must successfully pass BME driver’s evaluation, D&A and fit for duty pre-employment screening Submission: We thank you for your interest in Birch Mountain and remind all candidates that only successful applicants will be contacted. What you’ll do

Assist a hydro vac operator in performing daily tasks using a tri-drive hydro vac unit. Responsibilities include physical labor such as digging and lifting, as well as maintaining the truck and adhering to site safety regulations.

Requirements

Candidates must possess a valid Class 5 license and various safety certifications including OSSA, CSTS, H2S Alive, and Confined Space. Previous experience operating hydro vac units in the industrial sector is preferred.
