Meetings and Events Planner (Contract) The Meetings & Events Manager is responsible for the strategic planning and execution of internal and external events. This role partners closely with business stakeholders to deliver high-impact experiences that align to business objectives and drive measurable ROI. The successful incumbent will have the opportunity to work on high-visibility events for Bayer CropScience within an inclusive and diverse team. Bayer is committed to a flexible hybrid working environment with 3 expected days in office. This is a vacant 9-month temporary Contract position located in Calgary, Alberta. What you will do: Event Strategy & Delivery Lead the planning and execution of internal meetings, and small customer events Develop event strategies aligned with business goals and brand positioning Manage end-to-end event lifecycle (pre-event, on-site, and post-event) Project & Stakeholder Management Partner cross-functionally with marketing, sales, and leadership teams Serve as the main point of contact for stakeholders and vendors Manage timelines, deliverables, and event communication plans Ensure a high-quality attendee experience across all touchpoints Logistics, Operations & Financial Management Oversee all logistics including venue sourcing, travel, accommodations, and registration Manage vendors (AV, production, catering, etc.) and ensure quality delivery Support live event production including show flow and execution Develop and manage event budgets, including tracking expenses, reconcile budgets, and ensure financial compliance Risk & Compliance Ensure all events meet company compliance and legal requirements Develop contingency plans and partner with security teams as needed Ensure all activities/events are conducted in a safe and environmentally responsible manner, in accordance with Bayer Safety, compliance and Sustainability Policies. The base salary range for this role is between $66,560 and $99,840. Additional compensation may include a bonus or incentive compensation. Additional benefits may include insured benefits such as health care, vision, dental, disability, and contributory retirement savings plans, etc. This salary range is an estimate and may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, market data and the applicant’s skills, prior relevant experience, job-related knowledge, specific degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
