Fishing Guide Blachford Lodge by Arctic Kingdom Remote Wilderness Lodge, Northwest Territories Seasonal / Rotational Position About Blachford Lodge by Arctic Kingdom Blachford Lodge by Arctic Kingdom is a remote luxury wilderness lodge located on the shores of Blachford Lake in the Northwest Territories. Accessible only by air, the lodge offers unforgettable northern experiences including fishing, aurora viewing, cultural experiences, and wilderness adventures in one of Canada’s most breathtaking landscapes. We are looking for an experienced and guest-focused Fishing Guide to join our team for the upcoming season. This is an opportunity to work in a truly unique remote environment while delivering exceptional outdoor experiences for guests from around the world. What You’ll Be Doing Guest Experience & Guiding • Lead safe, engaging, and memorable guided fishing excursions • Share knowledge of fishing techniques, local fish species, and the surrounding environment • Support guests of all skill and experience levels • Assist with shore lunches and outdoor guest experiences • Help deliver exceptional guest service throughout the lodge experience Safety & Operations • Safely operate boats and outdoor equipment • Conduct safety checks and maintain awareness of changing weather and water conditions • Follow lodge safety procedures and emergency protocols • Maintain communication with lodge leadership during excursions Equipment & Program Support • Assist with maintaining fishing gear, boats, motors, and equipment • Support inventory organization and seasonal program setup • Report repairs, maintenance concerns, or safety issues promptly Team Support • Work collaboratively with other lodge departments • Support additional outdoor activities and lodge operations when required • Contribute positively to team culture and remote lodge living What We’re Looking For • Previous fishing guide or outdoor guiding experience • Strong freshwater fishing knowledge and practical skills • Experience operating boats safely in outdoor environments • Strong guest service and communication skills • Ability to work independently and adapt to changing conditions • Valid driver’s licence • Valid First Aid & CPR certification, or willingness to obtain • Comfortable working rotational schedules in a remote environment Assets • Remote lodge or northern tourism experience • Pleasure Craft Operator Card (PCOC) • Wilderness or outdoor leadership experience • Knowledge of Northwest Territories fishing and outdoor environments What We Offer • Opportunity to work in one of Canada’s most unique wilderness destinations • Competitive compensation • Room and board provided while at the lodge • Transportation from Yellowknife to the lodge provided • A supportive and adventure-driven team environment • Experience working in a world-class remote hospitality operation If you are passionate about fishing, wilderness experiences, and creating exceptional guest adventures, we would love to hear from you.

Requirements
