Your Opportunity: Unit 35 is a unique opportunity to provide care as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) on a neurology/stroke and physical rehabilitation unit. Working as part of a team that includes Nursing and Allied Health disciplines, the LPN on Unit 35 plays a key role in helping patients work toward previous functioning with the goal of returning patients to their homes and families. Description: As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team, utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, and demonstrated skill level, in alignment with applicable legislation, standards of practice, policies, and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, high quality, patient and family centred care while reflecting the shared vision and values of the organization. Classification: Licensed Practical Nurse Union: AUPE AUX Unit and Program: Unit 35 Rehabilitation, Allied Health Primary Location: Red Deer Regional Hospital Location Details: As Per Location Multi-Site: Not Applicable FTE: 0.70 Posting End Date: 04-SEP-2026 Temporary Employee Class: Temporary Part Time Date Available: 14-SEP-2026 Temporary End Date: 19-FEB-2027 Hours per Shift: 7.75 Length of Shift in weeks: 4 Shifts per cycle: 14 Shift Pattern: Nights, Weekends Days Off: As Per Rotation Minimum Salary: $33.16 Maximum Salary: $43.42 Vehicle Requirement: Not Applicable Required Qualifications: Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and a practice permit as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). Additional Required Qualifications: As Required. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with neurology and stroke preferred. Experience working in rehabilitation preferred.

Requirements
Must complete an accredited practical nurse education program and hold a valid practice permit with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS-HCP) certification is required.
