Travel in these circumstances will be reimbursed according to AFSC’s Employee and Board of Directors Expense Policy. Reporting to the Vice President - Lending, the Team Leader is responsible to manage, oversee and coordinate the allocation of work and execution of activities across a team of Relationship Managers Lending and Lending Associate. What will your growth opportunities look like in this role? As a Team Leader Lending, you will have the opportunity to manage a team of lenders focused on providing valuable lending programs to Alberta’s agricultural community. As a leader, you will build, support, coach and sustain a team of lenders focused on supporting clients. As a leader within AFSC you will support and take point on special projects to drive continuous improvement resulting in enhanced internal processes and improved client experiences. This will provide opportunity to expand your knowledge about AFSC and about the Ag industry. Being a part of the Lending Leadership team you will have influence over policies, processes and annual planning. What will you be responsible for? You will lead a team of client focused lenders that provide lending to primary agricultural producers in Alberta As a leader you will provide mentorship and training to develop new and seasoned lenders. To this end, you will work with team members to develop annual performance plans and monitor performance throughout the year As an experienced lending professional, you will provide guidance on credit underwriting, AFSC loan policies and will support lenders throughout the adjudication process. As a Team Leader, you will work with Team Leaders from Client Services and Insurance to ensure branch operations are well coordinated to ensure a seamless client experience. Requirements

Candidates must have a college diploma with eight years of experience or a university degree with six years of experience. A strong background in agriculture, agribusiness, or rural commercial lending is required.
