Adecco is currently hiring a Software Engineer for an exciting opportunity within a leading medical device and product development environment in Ottawa, ON. This role is ideal for engineers with experience in embedded software development, C/C++, C# .NET, Windows application development, control systems, system integration, and instrument design. As a Software Engineer, you will contribute to the development of next-generation point-of-care diagnostic products by designing, developing, testing, and integrating embedded and PC-based software solutions. You will work alongside multidisciplinary R&D teams to bring innovative healthcare technologies from concept to commercialization. Develop software supporting electrical, thermal, and mechanical control systems. Participate in prototyping, system integration, verification, and validation activities. Troubleshoot software and system issues while supporting product development efforts. Collaborate with cross-functional R&D teams and contribute to technical documentation. Support continuous improvement initiatives and new product development projects. Qualifications And Skills Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 3 years of experience in embedded software development, system integration, or product development. Strong experience with Embedded C/C++ and C# .NET (WinForms/WPF). Experience with embedded systems, control systems, data acquisition, and real-time applications. Working knowledge of SQL Server and software testing methodologies. Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Experience in medical devices or regulated product development environments is considered an asset. Knowledge of Bluetooth, wireless communications, and serial communications is considered an asset. Experience with software verification, validation, and regulatory requirements is considered an asset. Candidates should have experience with Embedded C/C++, C# .NET, embedded and control systems, data acquisition, real-time applications, SQL Server, and software testing; medical-device or regulated-product experience is an asset.
