Position Overview

Reporting to the CFO, the Junior Human Resources Manager, is responsible for team management and overall department planning.

This is a full-time, contractual position with a duration of one year, for a maternity leave replacement. The position is governed according to the policies in effect at Alvéole.

Starting date: January 3rd, 2022

Role and responsibilities

  • Manage total compensation and international employee mobility to ensure employee attraction, retention and engagement. Ensure that compensation respects the principles of fairness while aligning on the context and financial capacity of the organization.
  • Act as a human resources advisor to colleagues and support the HR team in providing the best internal service on several fronts, including; payroll, recruitment and general operations.
  • Participate and collaborate in the overall strategic planning of the administrative team to support the business objectives of the company.
  • Revise, create & enforce internal HR policies.
  • Manage the HR team members and support them in all their needs.
  • Assist in the development of managers' skills in terms of human resources, mobilization and contribution to the professional development of their employees, to help achieve the organization's medium to long term objectives (training, advice and coaching).
  • Implement practices and processes that promote collaboration as well as the establishment and maintenance of a healthy, inclusive and diverse work climate (working with the DEI internal committee), and offer managers and teams the necessary support to identify and achieve common goals.
  • Perform any other related task.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or related field
  • A minimum of 5 years experience as an HR generalist 
  • 1 to 3 years experience in team management
  • Member of the CHRA and CRIA orders, an asset
  • Experience in professional support (coaching) and advice, an asset
  • Strong interpersonal, teamwork and autonomous working skills
  • Perfect bilingualism (French, English)
  • Knowledge of Mac (Apple) ecosystems and Google tools
  • Mastery of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment that continually changes (Startup), an asset 
  • Experience with various HRIS, an asset
  • Knowledge of the European and USA market, an asset
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations network
