The Customer Service Professional is responsible for working with business professionals and various service delivery teams to oversee, maintain and ensure the smooth and efficient day to day operations of Deloitte’s offices.
This role performs general customer service responsibilities, clerical duties and tasks requiring great attention to detail, being proactive, having exceptional communication skills, and being capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is expected to have knowledge of general office equipment, typical office practices and procedures prior to entering position. Practical knowledge is required for delivering excellent office support services including greeting clients, ordering supplies, facilities management, filing, etc.
This role includes, but is not limited to the following primary duties:
Ensure the readiness of the office environment for the day-to-day operations
Reserve meeting rooms and co-ordinate catering requests for meetings;
Ensure appropriate meeting room clean up and set up, including video conference equipment and servery duties;
Assist with maintaining kitchen supplies and office supply inventories, including restocking of supply cabinets;
Respond to and/or inform Business Operations Manager of any facilities concerns (e.g., lights, HVAC issues, etc.);
Address and fix minor technical issues with office equipment; co-ordinate the repair and maintenance of office equipment with vendors;
Assist staff and clients with various inquiries/direct them to the appropriate person to address the request and/or resolve the issue;
Assist clients, partners and staff with various administrative duties, as required (e.g., word processing);
Assist the Business Operations Manager and the rest of the team with other various tasks as required;
Apply knowledge of the firm’s various software, processes, policies and tools;
Communicate with the client when there are questions or issues to be addressed;
Scan, print and bind material; and provide mailroom support.
External Posting Qualifications
1-2 years’ work experience in customer service, hospitality, or a facilities environment.
Intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal relations and demonstrated ability to work with others effectively in teams.
Attention to detail is critical
Proactive and highly organized with an exceptional ability to multi-task and demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks based on relative importance and urgency;
Strong commitment to client service and continuous improvement;
Ability to respond to requests in a timely manner
Flexible shifts to work between 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM
May be required to move tables, chairs, boxes and/or moving bins
Able to lift up to 50 pounds
Available to travel to other offices in the GTA.
