This job is available in Kanata, Canada.

Job Duties:

· Technical and Job-Related Responsibilities

o Test, calibrate verify system and peripheral devices. Testing to be performed according to all applicable standards and codes (e.g., ULC536)

o Verify system functional performance to ensure proper operations according to contract requirements and shop drawings/sequence of operations, etc.

o Perform system backups, install appropriate updates and patches

o Complete documentation of all work done, including all readings, offsets, etc.

o Update customer drawings/documentation with any configuration or model changes

o Ensure all assigned preventive maintenance tasks are completed in the time allotted and the month scheduled

o Respond to and resolve complex emergency service calls as required, in accordance with customer contract deliverables. Complex service calls include those on integrated and multi-vendor systems

o Diagnose and perform repairs in a time effective manner

o Project Management of and/or participation in delivery of small service or install jobs, including but not limited to, engineering, drawings, programming, documentation, installation, management of sub-contractors, start-up, testing and customer acceptance. Coordinate with Solution Design Center or local engineer to understand scope, hardware, software, graphics and as-built details

o Keep abreast of changes and new developments in product and preventive maintenance techniques

o Act as a mentor to junior technicians

o Availability for and performance of duties outside of normal working hours as required

· Customer Management

o Promote, build, and maintain good customer relations

o Keep supervisor informed of customer requirements, systems status, and actual, potential or perceived customer problems

o Supply information on adds or extras to appropriate Honeywell resource e.g., Site Primary Technician, Service Job Sales Representative, Field Service Leader, etc.

o Demonstrate system and provide training to customers as required

· Financial Responsibilities

o Participate in the preparation of job plans that cover job costs. Jobs to be completed as sold within the budgeted cost and timelines

o Supply quotes to customers on adds and extras identified or as requested

· Health, Safety and Statutory Compliance

o Carry out hazard and risk assessments for all tasks according to Honeywell policy and regulatory requirements

o Report near misses, incidents and other opportunities for improvement

· Administrative Responsibilities

o Be responsible for Honeywell’s assets such as tools, proprietary software, and site database

o Attend and complete training programs as required

o Accurate and timely submission of all required paperwork, meet all reporting requirements

· Other Requirements

o Must have Secret or Top-Secret Government Clearance (Public Works)

o Immunization (Including Covid-19 vaccination) as required by the customer and in accordance with the Public Health Act

o The successful candidate must have a driving record acceptable to Honeywell

Basic Qualifications:

· Must be seeking an Associate or technical college degree

· Must be available from May 2023 through August 2023

· Must be able to participate in an internship prior to completing current degree program

· Some experience in HVAC systems, control systems, mechanical system operation and building facilities. Honeywell installed systems HVAC product knowledge

· Some experience with building systems, troubleshooting, PC, and general networking knowledge

· Experience in Microsoft Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft Office Suite

· Must have a valid driver’s license

· Immunization (including COVID-19 vaccination) as required by the customer and in accordance with the Public Health Act

· Must be able to obtain Reliability Government security clearance and controlled goods
