You will be invited to a virtual information session via Zoom, where you will have the chance to meet program leaders and learn about the opportunities available for placement. Attendees who participate in this session are given priority throughout the application process. The date of the information session will correspond to the date/school term of your placement:
January/Winter Placement Period: The information session will take place in the preceding October/November.
May/Summer Placement Period: The information session will take place in the preceding February/March.
September/Fall Placement Period: The information session will take place in the preceding May/June.
Following the information session, students with a continued interest are invited to complete a placement screening application (given at the session) and will indicate their area/ranked top three choices of interest. Upon completion, these will be sent to program leaders for further consideration.
If selected, students will be invited to attend a screening interview with the program specific mentor/supervisor of their first, second, and/or third choice (dependent upon availability of opportunities). With the program supervisor or designate, you will also further discuss the placement position, expectations, and next steps to ensure the opportunities will meet your curriculum goals.
