Your future role on our team

By joining our team, your role will be to collaborate with members of multidisciplinary teams (engineers, technicians, drafters and other colleagues) on one or several projects. You will perform functions related to engineering such as studies, preliminary and detailed engineering or commissioning.

  • Participate in analyzing various types of technical problems related to engineering mining projects
  • Participate in small-scale multidisciplinary mandates as part of a work team comprised of engineers and technicians
  • Participate in carrying out study or detailed engineering mandates for clients with existing facilities or for those wanting to expand or build new facilities
  • Prepare mine optimizations, mine designs, mine planning, waste and stockpile designs, haulage simulations
  • Prepare plans and specifications based on guidelines for Mining mandates
  • Take part in preparing design criteria documents, technical memorandums, reports, specifications, and estimates
  • Assist more experienced personnel with the technical aspects of complex task

Overview of certifications and job requirements

  • Student in Mining, or Geological Engineering from a recognized University
  • Asset: Relevant experience, either in open-pit or underground mining, and operations experience
  • Asset: Experience with mine planning software such as Whittle, MineSched, Vulcan, Datamine, Minesight or Deswik
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Asset: Budgeting, estimating and scheduling experience with financial modelling skills
  • Asset: Experience in mine equipment selection, capital cost and operating cost estimates
  • Asset: Bilingual (e.g., English and French, or other language)
  • Travel to domestic and occasionally international destinations
