Position Requirements:

  • General Handyman experience.
  • Boating experience is required.
  • Watersafe course is an asset.
  • Propane Tank Filling Certification not required but an asset.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities.

Experience with:

  • Diesel engines.
  • Treated septic system.
  • UV water purification systems.
  • Desalination plants .

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Ensure the safety of guests and crew.
  • Check, maintain and refill propane and diesel fuel as needed.
  • Communicate with the manager on supplies required.
  • Empty, double bag and transport garbage and recycling.
  • Light, maintain and shut down propane fire places.
  • General “handyman” duties (ie hanging pictures, building shelves, paintings, etc.)
  • Keep all areas of the lodge clean, tidy and free of hazards.
  • Perform emergency duties as required within the scope of your training.
  • Participate in crew safety meetings.

Clean and maintain:

  • Docks and buildings
  • Diesel generators
  • Water system
  • Ice machines
  • Septic system
  • Fridges and freezers
  • Lodge vessels
  • Lodge equipment

Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
