SAIT is seeking an instructor for CPRG 212: Database Development. Reporting to the Academic Chair, this position requires specific knowledge and teaching skills related to:
· MS SQL Server database engine
· SSMS (SQL Server Management Studio)
· Relational databases using Microsoft Access
· Microsoft Visio
· Database designs
· Entity relationship diagrams
· Creating and managing tables in Microsoft Access
· Creating and managing forms in Microsoft Access
· Creating reports using the Access Report Wizard
· Installing MS SQL Server on a workstation
· Writing basic SQL statements
· Retrieving and manipulating data from multiple tables
· Group functions
· T-SQL
· User and role access

The Role

    • Create a positive learning environment.
    • Ensure relevant content exists and grades are maintained in the learning management system (LMS)
    • Ensure learning outcomes are met.
    • Use available resources, tools, techniques, and strategies, to ensure student success.
    • Work collaboratively with colleagues.
    • Prepare lessons plans to ensure classroom success.
    • Provide support, guidance, and advice to students.
    • Demonstrate competencies in leadership, communication, teamwork, problem solving, emotional intelligence, and time management.
    • Respond to student requests in a timely manner.
    • Attend meetings as needed between 8am and 6pm

Qualifications

    • Minimum of 3-5 years professional experience in information technology.
    • Previous teaching, training, coaching, or mentoring experience is strongly preferred
    • Post-secondary education in a related field.
    • Relevant certification

Hourly Range: $35.99 - $45.55
