Job Description :
The Field Services Specialist is a hands on role that will support projects for clients in the oil and gas, utility, and industrial sector. The successful candidate will be at client site performing maintenance, testing, and commissioning various electrical apparatus, protection relays and control systems..
The ideal candidate is a dedicated team player who can also work well independently. They can expect to be involved in the following:
• Assist in developing commissioning procedures for equipment and systems • Participate in the risk assessment for work to be performed while complying with safety requirements and rules • Troubleshoot equipment such as instruments, starters, motors, switches, cables, controls, EFV and Softstart • Perform thermographic inspections • Prepare drawings, specifications, and technical reports for verifications, anomalies and follow-ups • Ensure client satisfaction and be highly familiar with NETA and ISO 9001:2008 standard requirements

• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing project and client needs • Excellent communication skills • A versatile problem solver that seeks to exceed expectations • Ability to learn quickly and take ownership of responsibilities • Demonstrate creativity and innovation in providing practical and technologically advanced solutions for our clients
• College diploma in Automation or Electrical Engineering Technology, Industrial Electronics, Telecommunications or other relevant education • 7-12 years of relevant experience in electrical apparatus maintenance and testing, protection relay programming and testing, and control system testing • Willingness to travel to remote client sites • Knowledge of low, medium, and high voltage systems • Knowledge of testing process equipment and systems • Knowledge of the ISO:9001 and NETA standards • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite • Asset: Programming and testing experience for instrumentation and electrical apparatus • Asset: Knowledge in PLC and other control systems • Asset: Experience in drafting calls for tender, proposals and technical specifications
