Overview: We are seeking four (4) motivated, positive, and dependable Forestry Assistants to join our team of Resource Professionals in the Forestry Department. The position(s) will be based out of Prince George, BC. and will involve shift work throughout the province. The term for this position will run from early May until the end of Summer 2027. What We Offer: * Tailored career growth opportunities within a team environment that recognizes talent * A diverse range of work with a multitude of clients * A fun, professional and safety-first work environment * Flexible work arrangements ensuring work-life integration Job Responsibilities: This position will mainly focus on field work, and its responsibilities will generally include: * Assisting with road and boundary layout. * Conducting road and boundary traversing (GPS). * Assisting with the collection of ecological data. * Assisting with riparian classification and management. * Participating in pre-harvest cut block reconnaissance and field evaluations. * Supporting Timber cruising activities. Qualifications, Experience & Skills: * Enrollment in a Natural Resource Management program with a focus on forestry, or a related field. * No Previous experience required. * Knowledge of timber cruising and related forest survey techniques is an asset. * Valid Class 5 British Columbia driver’s license with demonstrated experience driving 4x4 trucks and ATVs. * Physically fit and able to work outdoors; willing to work in demanding conditions. * A great attitude, with a willingness to try new things. * Legally authorized to work in Canada. Compensation: * The pay range for this position is $22-$26 and will be commensurate with experience. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled. We look forward to hearing from you!

Requirements

Candidates must be enrolled in a Natural Resource Management program or related field and possess a valid Class 5 driver's license. Applicants should be physically fit, capable of working in demanding outdoor conditions, and legally authorized to work in Canada.
