BLUEWATER DISTRICT SCHOOL BOARD INVITES APPLICATIONS FOR THE FOLLOWING TEMPORARY EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANT POSITION An Educational Assistant is responsible to the school Principal to provide medical, physical and safety/supervision support to students with intensive special education needs in elementary and secondary schools. Eligibility To be eligible, applicants must hold a secondary school diploma plus completion of a post-secondary education program in one of the following: Education Support Worker, Educational Assistant Certificate, Early Childhood Educator, Social Service Worker, Developmental Services Worker, Child and Youth Worker, Educational Assistant Apprenticeship Program or equivalent education and/or experience. Requirements

Applicants must have a secondary school diploma and have completed a relevant post-secondary program, such as Educational Assistant, Early Childhood Educator, Social Service Worker, Developmental Services Worker, or Child and Youth Worker training. Equivalent education and/or experience may also qualify.
