WHY SUPPLY CHAIN PROFESSIONALS CHOOSE GATEWAY · Play an important role in supporting operations across our facilities · Work directly with suppliers, internal teams and facility partners · Gain hands-on experience across purchasing, inventory and supply chain operations · Use data and reporting to help maintain healthy inventory levels · Develop your experience with ERP systems and purchasing processes · Collaborate with Operations, Finance and Purchasing teams · Build your career with one of North America's leading pet aftercare organizations · Do meaningful work that ultimately supports veterinary professionals and pet families WHAT YOU'LL DO · Create and manage purchase orders for inventory and restock items. · Work directly with suppliers to confirm product availability, pricing, shipping and delivery timelines. · Monitor inventory levels using purchasing reports and place orders when established inventory parameters are met. · Verify received products against purchase orders and work with suppliers to resolve discrepancies. · Follow up on outstanding orders to ensure materials are shipped and delivered as expected. · Maintain and update purchase orders in our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system based on vendor confirmations and delivery changes. · Help support and train Gateway facilities on the use of NetSuite. · Coordinate warehouse transfer orders between facilities. · Ensure inventory cycle counts are completed on time and help investigate and resolve discrepancies. · Assist with invoice resolution when needed. · Coordinate LTL freight shipments for purchase orders. · Identify and report cost discrepancies, price increases, inventory losses and potential write-offs. · Partner with the Purchasing Manager, Financial Controllers and Operations teams to resolve inventory and purchasing issues. YOUR FIRST YEAR AT GATEWAY · Develop a strong understanding of Gateway's purchasing, inventory and supply chain processes. · Build productive relationships with suppliers, facilities and internal business partners. · Become confident using NetSuite and Gateway's purchasing processes. · Consistently create and maintain accurate purchase orders. · Help ensure facilities have the products, materials and supplies they need to operate efficiently. · Develop a strong understanding of inventory levels, ordering parameters and cycle count processes. · Become a dependable resource for resolving purchasing, delivery and inventory discrepancies. · Contribute to an organized, responsive and efficient Purchasing team. IS THIS YOU? · 2+ years of experience in supply chain, purchasing, inventory control or a related area. · Experience creating and managing purchase orders. · Comfortable working with inventory reports, order quantities and supplier information. · NetSuite experience is preferred. · Experience working with an ERP or similar inventory/purchasing system is an asset. · Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. · Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. · Strong written and verbal communication skills. · Comfortable working directly with suppliers and internal business partners. · Resourceful problem solver who takes initiative and follows issues through to resolution. You'll balance day-to-day purchasing responsibilities with inventory monitoring, supplier communication, reporting and problem-solving. Some days may involve following up on an important shipment, while others may include resolving an inventory discrepancy, coordinating a warehouse transfer or helping a facility navigate NetSuite. WORKING ENVIRONMENT · Primarily computer-based position with frequent use of purchasing, inventory and ERP systems. · Regular communication with suppliers, facilities and internal business partners. · Frequent computer use and repetitive hand, wrist and finger motion. · Prolonged periods of sitting may be required.
