The Town of Provost is a small but busy town located in east central Alberta, 19 km west of the Alberta-Saskatchewan border. Provost is maintaining a brand-new arena and sports facility as well as a Recreation and Culture Centre, plus several other facilities including ball diamonds, tennis courts and campgrounds. There is an incredible variety of sports activities, including a nine-hole golf course, a skateboard park, badminton, basketball, bowling, curling, dance, figure skating, hockey, soccer, softball, swimming and Tae kwon do. Description: As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team, utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, and demonstrated skill level, in alignment with applicable legislation, standards of practice, policies, and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, high quality, patient and family centred care while reflecting the shared vision and values of the organization. Classification: Licensed Practical Nurse Union: AUPE AUX Unit and Program: Acute, OBS, Emerg Primary Location: Provost Health Centre Location Details: As Per Location Multi-Site: Not Applicable FTE: 0.50 Posting End Date: 14-SEP-2026 Temporary Employee Class: Temporary Part Time Date Available: 24-SEP-2026 Temporary End Date: 25-JAN-2027 Hours per Shift: 11.08 Length of Shift in weeks: 12 Shifts per cycle: 20 Shift Pattern: Days, Evenings, Nights, Weekends Days Off: As Per Rotation Minimum Salary: $33.16 Maximum Salary: $43.42 Vehicle Requirement: Not Applicable Required Qualifications: Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and a practice permit as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). Additional Required Qualifications: As Required. Preferred Qualifications: As Required.

Requirements
Candidates must complete an accredited practical nurse education program and hold a current BCLS-HCP certification. Active or eligible registration with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta is required.
